Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform and supervise skilled electrical maintenance at pipeline facilities in the Berks County area. The role involves periodic coordination with other technicians and occasional oversight of contract personnel to ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical equipment.

Ideal candidates will be a Journeyman Electrician with 2–5 years of pipeline experience, familiar with PLCs, VFDs, protective relays and related controls, and able to

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical/electronics or equivalent with 2–5 years of pipeline electrical maintenance experience.
• Journeyman or Journeyman Class Electrician qualified to work on 13,200 volt and below equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs, ladder logic and electrical control circuitry.
• Able to work alone outdoors and perform heavy physical labor.
• Maintain safety equipment and driver’s license for residence state.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and recommend corrective actions based on test results for major electrical equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, install/construct, overhaul and test equipment per DOT and company policy.
• Inspect or oversee work of others, including contract employees or Energy Transfer staff, at multiple sites.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs to electrical and non-electrical equipment as required.
• Maintain spare parts inventory to prevent service interruptions and order parts as needed.
• Operate safety equipment and follow industry codes and company standards.
