Job description

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

What we need from you:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of related experience
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance and advanced electrician duties
  • Understanding of solid state circuitry and systems at 110V, 220V, 440V, and 480V
  • Ability to bend and properly size conduit based on wire conductors; size starters and frequency drives; size fusing and motor wires based on motor amperage
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, diagnosing issues with programmable controllers, and operating electrical testing and machining equipment
  • Ability to interpret safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
  • Intermediate knowledge of Arc Flash safety
  • Ability to complete work orders and document work in a computer system
  • Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure
  • Valid forklift license
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs
Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and assist in receiving, adjusting, and installing plant equipment using various tools
  • Assist in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related problems and apply corrective actions
  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams
  • Assist with major repairs and construction of plant buildings and electrical equipment
  • Perform preventative electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Run conduit and pull electrical wiring for equipment; replace starters, relays, switches, fuses, and disconnects
  • Perform advanced electrician duties such as checking heater packs, control wiring, and troubleshooting three-phase systems
  • Set up metal detectors
  • Participate in and complete training to enhance trade skills
  • Train maintenance staff on equipment upkeep
  • Maintain a safe work environment and use PPE as required
