Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking an experienced manufacturing professional in New Orleans, LA, to perform cable fabrication, electrical panel assembly, wiring, and soldering. The role requires reading engineering drawings and following instructions, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will also maintain documentation and use basic hand tools in a dynamic environment. The position is full-time with an opportunity to grow within Textron Systems’ Marine & Land Systems portfolio, including routine

Qualifications

1-3 years of related experience.
Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings.
Must be able to perform basic shop mathematics.
Willingness to work extended hours as needed to accomplish tasks.
General understanding of metric measuring system.
Naval craft experience is a plus.
Level determined based on relevant experience and scope of role.

Responsibilities

Cable fabrication, electrical panel assembly, wire stripping, electrical schematics layouts, hook-ups, and soldering.
Cable pulling and grooming raceways.
Work from Engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, schematics and follow written/verbal instructions.
Maintain records, forms, and logs as required.
Perform job duties with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, drill motors, sanding and grinding tools, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
