Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician 4 in Maryland to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role emphasizes independent work, safety, and high workmanship standards.

You will read blueprints and schematics, verify specifications, and ensure compliance with NEC/OSHA guidelines while coordinating with project teams and supervising apprentices as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience and completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical issues and implement repairs.
• Install and connect panels, transformers, motors, lighting systems, and control devices.
• Test electrical systems and continuity using appropriate testing instruments.
• Coordinate work with project managers, foremen, inspectors, and other trades.
• Supervise and provide guidance to apprentices when assigned.
• Document work performed, materials used, and any changes to plans.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite cleanliness.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies.
