Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Electrical Technician to support electrical and electronic engineering activities in the production environment. You will work with engineers on setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing of parts and assemblies.

The role requires designing, testing, and validating electrical systems from schematics to finished products, while following approved procedures and safety standards. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not provided.

Qualifications

  • 6 years with AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
  • Experience in electrical/electronic systems design, development, testing, and verification.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, tests, builds, and assembles electrical circuits and systems and related test equipment.
  • Documents, tests, evaluates, analyzes, and verifies electrical development and systems per procedures and standards.
  • Tracks and troubleshoots electrical development efforts and maintains records in the tracking tool.
  • Observes and complies with safety rules and ISO/QSE standards including ESD principles.
  • Performs equipment setup, maintenance tasks, and validates processes in production to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
  • Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Mentors less experienced technicians in technical, business, or communication skills.

About The Role

Supports electrical and electronic engineering activities, often involving specialized equipment or product in the manufacturing environment. Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Work Mode

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, tests, builds, assembles electrical circuits and systems, circuitry, test equipment, prototypes by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies. Working from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.
  • Documents, tests, evaluates, analyzes, verifies electrical development electrical/electronic systems, circuits, prototypes, components by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards. Working from test procedures, specifications and/or written and verbal instructions.
  • Tracks, troubleshoots electrical development effort. Test set-ups, circuit or device problems by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool through electrical understanding, utilization of documentation and problem solving practices.
  • Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations (including QSE and ISO Standards) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) principles . Has in-depth knowledge of safety principles, hazards and requirements.
  • Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process. Complies with all Boston Scientific quality requirements and procedures.
  • Performs routine and complex equipment setup. Owns and delegates corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance tasks. Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
  • Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.
  • Challenges existing norms and finds new ways to drive continuous improvement. Proven experience of execution on project timelines with medium to high business impact.
  • Participates in the mentorship and development of less experienced technicians in technical, business or communication skillsets.

Minimum Salary: $ 63024

Maximum Salary: $ 107120
