Job summary

Boston Scientific in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician to join project teams responsible for releasing and maintaining R&D and DV equipment. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, calibration, and collaboration with engineers and technicians onsite five days a week.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of equipment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC and computer interfaces, as well as FDA quality

  • High School Diploma / degree / equivalent.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Calibration department and notify through CMMS on unscheduled work orders.
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical, PLC and computer interface equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and FDA regulation.

  • Validate equipment and new processes.
  • Maintain complex test equipment, train staff on its operations, and schedule calibration or preventative maintenance.
  • Identify vendors to acquire supplies, materials, equipment and tools for projects.

About the role:

The Line Maintenance Technician works with project teams, R&D technicians, engineers and scientists with the release and preventative maintenance of Equipment.

Work Mode

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintains Equipment Files.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled Equipment Preventative Maintenance R&D and DV equipment.
  • Works with Engineers to release Equipment.
  • Validate equipment and new processes.
  • Maintain complex test equipment, train staff on its operations, and schedule necessary calibration or preventative maintenance.
  • Identify additional or new vendors to identify and acquire necessary supplies, materials, equipment and tools for specific projects.
Required Qualifications:

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
