Job summary

Boston Scientific in Arden Hills, Minnesota, is seeking a manufacturing technician to support production of parts and assemblies. You will work with engineers on setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing, and help develop methods to improve the process.

This is an onsite role requiring daily presence in the office. Responsibilities include safety compliance, MRB participation, equipment setup and maintenance, and collaboration with production teams to keep the line running and to escalate

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with AA degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
  • Five years of manufacturing and troubleshooting experience is preferred.
  • Experience with CNC machines (Swiss and Electrodischarge machining) and maintenance/calibration routines.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations (including QSE and ISO Standards). Is able to understand and demonstrate basic safety principles (ex: LOTO).
  • Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process. Complies with all Boston Scientific quality requirements and procedures.
  • Performs routine equipment setup and maintenance. Completes basic corrective, preventiv e and calibration maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.
  • Work with other technicians and engineers on process improvement.
  • Work with production teams to ensure all equipment to run the line is operational, if equipment is down, elevate issue and remediation plan

About The Role

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Work Mode

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at five days per week.

  • Experience with timely execution of scheduled preventative maintenance and calibrations
