Job summary

Dorsey College is seeking an Electrical Technician Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom instruction across lecture, lab, and practical sessions. The role emphasizes safety, real-world applications, and student competency in course objectives.

You will evaluate learner progress, support retention and attendance, and collaborate with Academic Dean/Managing Director while adhering to policy, regulations, and the college’s professional development standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Michigan Master or Electrical Journeyman License required.
• Bachelor’s/Associate degree in electrical field or post-secondary education from a DOE-recognized institution.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction (lecture, lab).
• Assess student learning using appropriate methods.
• Support student retention, success, and attendance metrics.
• Maintain classroom environment and professional conduct per campus policies.
• Participate in faculty and in-service meetings and collaborate with academic leadership.
