Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Electrical Technician for a Fortune 150 North American steel manufacturer at a Kingman, AZ steel mill. You will perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance on heavy equipment and systems to keep production running safely.

You will troubleshoot, read schematics, and work with motors, transformers, and PLCs while upholding high safety standards and a team-oriented culture. The role includes nights/weekends based on operations.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamental knowledge of electrical theory.
• 4+ years industrial electrical experience or related training.
• Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance in an industrial setting.
• Willingness to work in a steel mill/heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and own equipment reliability.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective electrical maintenanceon steel mill equipment and systems. You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams to keep equipment running safely, troubleshoot electrical issues, and help implement solutions that improve the steelmaking process. The right person will take ownership of their work, support a strong team culture, and uphold high standards around safety, housekeeping, reliability, and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial steel mill equipment

What We’re Looking For

Qualified candidates should have:

• Strong fundamental knowledge of electrical theory
• 4+ years of industrial electrical experience, or a combination of trade school training and hands‑on electrical experience
• Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance in an industrial setting
• Willingness to work in a steel mill / heavy manufacturing environment
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in a team‑based culture
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and take ownership of equipment reliability

Background

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Formal electrical theory education or electrical trade training
• AC and DC motors
• Power transformers
• Programmable Logic Controllers
• Electrical safety practices
• Forklifts, mobile cranes, or other mobile equipment
• Steel, metals, mining, cement, paper, lumber, chemical, automotive, or other heavy industrial environments
