  • OSHA 10-hour certification and NFPA-70E safety training preferred.
  • U.S. citizen; security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with battery replacements and new installations for UPS systems.
  • Support preventative and scheduled maintenance of batteries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Follow safety procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
  • Use hand tools and maintenance equipment as required.
  • Assist with tasks in other service divisions as needed.
  • Work from diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Learn to disconnect/connect sealed batteries in cabinets and open racks.
  • Learn to build and install flooded cell battery racks and spill containment systems.
  • Enter pre-installation test readings and collect data for reporting.
  • Gain experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
  • Assist in warehouse operations when required.
  • Travel up to 50% or more may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with battery replacements and new installations for UPS systems.
  • Support preventative and scheduled maintenance of batteries with minimal disruption to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site during all phases of work.
  • Follow operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Interact professionally with internal teams and external customers.
  • Utilize hand tools and general maintenance equipment as required.
  • Assist with tasks in other service divisions, such as Switch Gear, Operations, and HVAC, as needed.
  • Work from schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Learn to disconnect and connect sealed batteries in cabinets and open racks.
  • Learn to build and install flooded cell battery racks and spill containment systems.
  • Enter pre-installation test readings and collect data for reporting using a laptop computer.
  • Gain experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on DC battery systems with increasing independence.
  • Assist in warehouse operations when required.
  • Adhere strictly to facility work rules and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Services Management.
  • Travel up to 50% or more may be required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry.
  • Ability to safely operate department equipment and use hand tools.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn the use of digital multimeters, amp clamps, and battery testing equipment.
  • Understanding of proper use of isolation devices and personal protective equipment (PPE), including Arc-Flash suits.
  • Competency in connecting battery strings (series, parallel, and series-parallel configurations) or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work from diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification and NFPA-70E Safety Training preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance is preferred.
