Job summary

TSMC is seeking an Electrical Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 230kV across site substations, switchgear, transformers, and cabling. You will read manuals and schematics, perform load calculations, and manage work orders while coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams.

The role requires safety-focused professionals with Journeyman/Master Electrician credentials, experience in emergency service, and proficiency with CMMS, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Current Journeyman Electrician’s certificate or Master Electrician for higher grade levels.
• Knowledge of Arc Flash hazard boundaries and PPE per Arc Flash Calculations.
• Thermography certification: Level 1.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 230kV including substations, switchgear, transformers and cabling.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and codebooks.
• Perform electrical load calculations and manage work orders.
• Schedule and coordinate vendors and subcontractors for maintenance.
• Conduct routine and emergency service on critical systems.
