Job summary

Nissin Ion Equipment USA, Inc. in the Boston metro area seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to assemble, repair, debug, and diagnose electrical controllers and PCB boards.

You will install power supplies, respond to service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and log work progress. Applicants should have an associate degree in electrical engineering technology and hands-on soldering, wiring, and panel assembly experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in electrical engineering technology.
• Knowledge of resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, relays, circuit breakers.
• Experience soldering components and PCB assemblies.
• Experience wiring control panels and wiring harnesses.
• Familiarity with OrCAD or similar schematic capture/CAD tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings/diagrams and documentation.
• Knowledge of testing equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator).
• Proficient with manual and power tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to lift heavy items and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests and assess new systems and repairs for quality.
• Wire, assemble, test, and install electrical panels and harnesses.
• Solder, inspect, test, and install PCB boards.
• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Communicate estimated repair timelines to stakeholders.
• Install new equipment and perform wiring expansions as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule.
• Log services and report progress to management.
• Create/modify/maintain drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and work instructions.
