Job summary

Prestonwood Baptist Church is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform preventive maintenance, operation and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment across church facilities. This role emphasizes electrical systems, building automation programming, and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a Texas Journeyman Electrician license, an EPA HVAC universal certification, and a background in reading plans and schematics. The position requires flexibility for events and varied hours.

Qualifications

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible-believing and preaching ministry.
• 2-4 year technical, college, or university program certificate preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training may substitute for educational requirement.
• Ability to read basic technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards; OSHA training preferred.
• EPA universal certificate in HVAC required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance work and programming on building automation systems with focus on electrical equipment.
• Inspect, test, service and monitor electrical and mechanical systems on a scheduled basis.
• Diagnose cause of electrical malfunction or failure and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Install electrical, control and lighting circuitry.
• Assist with set up and break down of daily and special events.
