Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Greenwood, SC is seeking an Electrical Technician for the 2nd shift. The starting rate is $27.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, with core hours Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am.

You will perform final inspection, testing, and documentation for a range of Eaton products, troubleshoot failures, and support quality improvements. A high school diploma and 2 years’ electrical distribution experience are required; relocation is not

  • Minimum of two years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Relocation is not offered; must live within fifty miles of Greenwood, SC.

Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Electrical Technician for the 2nd shift in Greenwood, SC.

The starting rate for this position is $27.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Core hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do

The Electrical Technician is responsible for final inspection and functional testing of Eaton products to ensure quality and compliance prior to shipment. In this role you will develop and execute test plans, conduct electrical and electronic testing, and inspect components and connections across a wide range of products, including structures, units, panels, panelboards, controls, and assemblies. You will confirm proper functionality, diagnose and resolve issues, and document or complete required repairs.

  • Interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect panels, assemblies, and components to verify quality and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and supervisory teams on corrective actions.
  • Validate customer orders for accuracy and completeness; support customer inspectors during testing and inspection processes.
  • Recommend and assist with improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, and testing methods; ensure required changes and repairs are completed.
  • Maintain test equipment, calibration status, test documentation, and inspection records.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, hygiene standards, and housekeeping practices.
Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Relocation is not offered for this position. Candidates must live within a fifty‑mile radius of the Greenwood, SC facility.
  • Employment-based immigration sponsorship or support is not provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Previous experience working with open and energized electrical equipment in a testing environment.
