Reporting directly to the Final Assembly Supervisor, we are currently seeking an Electrical Technician for the Second Shift to be based at our South Point, OH facility.

Position Summary
Electrical technicians are responsible for wiring PC boards, controls, switches, and various other electrical assemblies from schematics, layout diagrams, and written specifications.
Work Schedule
Monday – Thursday, 4–10 hour shifts, 3:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. The position requires a 40‑hour work week with additional time as needed.
Essential Functions – Other Duties May Be Assigned
- Interpret technical assembly prints to wire and install electrical components, switches, and electronic instruments such as PLCs, data loggers, relays, and breakers used in manufacturing and repairing electrical power stations and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction, and make necessary repairs.
- Conduct electrical testing and recommend or initiate modifications or replacements of equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions to determine reparability and repair costs, refurbish equipment, and replace defective parts.
- Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components; record effects on unit performance. Perform installations compliant with current electrical codes and MSHA regulations.
- Responsible for assigned project completion, quality, and delivery according to the work schedule; carry out initial control testing; ensure quality standards are met and sign off on end‑of‑project QA forms.
Tools and Equipment
- Various hand tools – wire strippers, crimpers, drill, razor knife; multimeters, Volt‑Ohm meters, Hi‑pot.
- Use overhead crane, forklift, hoists to assist in electrical assembly and moving materials/projects.
- Care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Electricity plus two years of experience working on industrial electrical distribution equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and layout diagrams.
- Experience with hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, and electrical testing equipment.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Confident at working closely with other technicians and management while keeping production flowing and meeting due dates.
- Demonstrated proficiency in achieving high quality results in electrical assemblies, wiring, and troubleshooting through continual attention to detail and anticipation of potential problems during early planning and design review stages.
- Detail‑oriented and committed to producing quality work.
- Team‑oriented and able to get along with co‑workers, supervisors, and management.
- Familiar with current electrical codes, MSHA requirements, and NEC.
