Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. seeks an experienced maintenance professional to troubleshoot and repair production machinery in a manufacturing environment in Alabama. You will diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic issues, fabricate electrical assemblies, and interpret drawings and schematics with a strong safety focus.

The role requires 5+ years’ experience, an electrical certificate or degree preferred, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

  • Electrical/Mechanical certificate preferred.

  • Good organizational skills and self-starter.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision instruments (Imperial and Metric).
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • High school diploma or GED; electrical certificate or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs production machinery to ensure effective maintenance and high equipment performance.
  • Diagnoses problems and troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic systems for the production equipment.
  • Fabricates and/or installs electrical/electronic/electromechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
  • Follows safety procedures and ensures equipment is safe before release to production.
  • Performs simple fabrication of mechanical components for bracketry or installation modification of electrical devices.
  • Performs electrical preventative maintenance, inspections, records results and reports as per procedure.
  • Work on special projects as required.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs production machinery to ensure an effective maintenance system and achieve the highest performance of production equipment.
  • Diagnoses problems and troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic systems for the production equipment.
  • Fabricates and/or installs electrical/electronic/electromechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
  • Understands safety precautions and follows all safety procedures when completing work. Ensures that all equipment is safe before releasing to production.
  • Able to perform simple fabrication of mechanical components using maintenance equipment for bracketry or installation modification of electrical devices.
  • Performs all electrical preventative maintenance related to inspections, record results and reports as per procedure.
  • Work on special projects as required.
