Job: Industrial Controls Technician

Base Rate: $40.00-$45.00 per hour based on skill level
Schedule: 2nd shift 3:00pm–11:00pm with flexibility for 3rd shift 11:00pm–7:00am

Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate production reliability improvement efforts and equipment troubleshooting support with production, maintenance, and engineering teams; serve as first line of advanced troubleshooting.
- Coordinate facility, trade and OEM-service contractors, ensuring work is performed as expected and compliant with PAD safety standards; act as in-house expert on facility and production operations.
- Maintain control and electrical drawings; manage PLC/HMI programs for compounding, packaging and building systems; edit and write PLC programs; create/modify HMI screens; perform basic electrical troubleshooting and functional modifications.
- Collaborate on team projects to problem-solve and improve processes and procedures that enhance OEE, safety, quality, and work environment.
- Focus on equipment reliability and identify opportunities to drive manufacturing capacity and capabilities within the factory.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with automation and controls, including at least 2 years in a consumer-packaged goods or related industry manufacturing and production environment.
- Demonstrated, independent execution of electrical or automation projects.
Requirements
- Ability to create, modify and troubleshoot complex PLC programs and HMI programs; ability to read electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming software.
- Working knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment; experience with mechanical/pneumatic functions and operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues; strong coaching, training and teamwork skills; organized with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines; adapt to urgent production needs; willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Support TPM and S5 initiatives.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
