Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced electrician in California to perform terminal and electrical service, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks across facilities. You will troubleshoot wiring circuits for lighting and controls, plan layouts, and ensure compliance with electrical codes.

Requirements include 3–5 years in lighting or electrical maintenance, a California Electrician License preferred, and the ability to pass drug/background screens.

Qualifications

• Ability to work nights and elevations (ladders/scaffolds/roofs).
• Must meet criteria to drive company vehicle.

• Ability to interpret diagrams/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal and electrical service, repair, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks at a variety of facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace wiring circuits for lighting and lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, programmable controllers, and related electrical equipment
• Identify and acquire replacement and maintenance parts in accordance with established procurement procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
• Prepare sketches showing locations of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams and blueprints
• Plan layouts and installations of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste, provide future maintenance access, and avoid unsafe or unreliable wiring
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices to ensure system compatibility and safety
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs
• Conform to government/local regulations, ordinances, safety guidelines, specifications, and electrical codes

Requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, systems, equipment, wiring, lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, and programmable controllers


• Ability to use ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and follow diagrams or blueprints
