Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company actively seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems and utilities. The role covers preventive and corrective work on distribution systems, lighting, HVAC controls, motors, compressors, and generators.

You will perform conduit work, install and rebuild pumps and motors, and support major repairs of building equipment while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run conduit and pull wiring to machinery and motors.
• Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and heat exchangers.
• Replace bearings and seals on pumps and motors, and install piping and valves.
• Assist with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility electrical systems and utilities, this includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems, lighting, HVAC controls, motors, compressors, generators, and other facility equipment

Responsibilities

• Run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.
• Install and rebuild pumps and motors; Install and rebuild air compressors, and heat exchangers;
• Replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls
• Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
• Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Minimum Requirement

• High School Diploma or GED
