Job summary

TurnPoint Services is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial customers. Strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and safety commitment are essential to ensure efficient, safe, and code-compliant electrical systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical service, maintenance, or installation experience.
  • State Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, panels, load calculations, grounding/bonding, and low-voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards; PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • Professional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics & repair: troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and other components.
  • Installations: perform new circuit installations, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, EV chargers, and other system enhancements.
  • Preventive maintenance: conduct routine inspections, load testing, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure code compliance.
  • Safety & code compliance: follow NEC, NFPA, and company safety standards; ensure work passes inspections and meets local codes.
  • Documentation: complete service tickets with materials used, time, and notes.
  • Customer service: communicate options to customers and provide recommendations to improve system performance or safety.
  • Team collaboration: coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Equipment care: maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicle.

Role Overview

The Electrical Technician will perform a variety of electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This role is essential for ensuring that electrical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with code.

What You Bring

Key Responsibilities
