Job summary

Eck Services, now part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an Apprentice Electrical for hands-on training under a licensed journeyman. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems while learning to become an expert. You will educate customers on products and services and follow established scripts for a professional experience.

The role focuses on growth through classroom and on-the-job training, with opportunities to advance as you gain expertise in the electrical trade.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, able to read and explain technical information clearly.
• Solid math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, and interpreting graphs.
• Excellent problem-solving and judgment to troubleshoot systems.
• Comfort with computers, data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, work outdoors in various weather.
• Willingness to learn from journeymen and pursue growth in the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

• Attend apprenticeship classes and complete assessments with passing grades.

Role Overview

• Are you eager to learn, grow, and build a career in the electrical trade? Under the guidance of a licensed journeyman, you’ll gain hands‑on paid experience inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems while developing the skills to become a true expert in the field.
• In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to educate and assist customers, helping them select products and services that improve and enhance their electrical systems. What You Bring

• You bring strong communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical documents and explain concepts clearly to customers and team members.
• You have solid mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and the ability to interpret bar graphs.
• Your excellent problem‑solving and reasoning abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot issues, make sound decisions, helps to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• You are comfortable using computers and technology, including data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• Physical stamina and adaptability, able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and safely climb ladders or scaffolding.
• You have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn from experienced journeymen while growing your skills in the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in apprenticeship classes, achieving passing grades in both classroom and hands‑on training assessments.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair or replace electrical systems under the guidance of a licensed journeyman, gaining practical, on‑the‑job experience.
• Educate and assist customers in selecting products, repairs, and services to enhance their electrical systems, delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Follow established scripts and procedures to ensure a consistent, professional experience for every customer.
• Develop your skills and knowledge daily, building a strong foundation for a long‑term career in the electrical trade.
