Job summary

Metallus is seeking a Technician at their Faircrest Steel Plant in Canton, OH. This role involves maintaining and restoring equipment for the steel manufacturing process, ensuring that all systems function optimally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and hold a diploma, with preference given to those with an Associate's degree in electrical technology and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industrial/electrical experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with electronic and electromechanical equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer solutions with technicians and engineers.
• Provide maintenance, installation, and testing of equipment.
• Liaison with suppliers and contractors to rectify equipment issues.
• Engage in continuous learning and technical development.

Skills

Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuit analysis and AC/DC drives

Working knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs

Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Education

High school diploma and industrial/electrical apprenticeship

Associate's degree in electrical technology
