Job summary

Innophos is seeking an Electrical Tech in North Salt Lake, UT to install, repair, and test instrumented and electrical systems on a day shift. You will split time between the plant floor and the maintenance shop, performing hands-on, safety‑driven electrical work.

The role requires 2+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of electrical safety. HVAC, readings from CAD drawings, and maintenance documentation are common tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly related experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety and construction codes.
• Able to diagnose problems and interpret drawings for troubleshooting and new construction.
• Computer literate (maintenance logs, work orders, material orders, CAD drawings).
• Able to follow Good Manufacturing Practices, including protective clothing and hygiene standards.
• Physically able to lift regularly (some heavy), climb stairs, and work in the heat.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumented systems.
• Troubleshoot failed equipment (motors, pumps, valves), request parts, and reassemble.
• Select, install, test, and calibrate measurement devices and analyzers.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install electrical conduit.
• Connect power, control, and ground cables; install switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Test circuit continuity with testing instruments.
• Read and interpret paper and CAD drawings.
• Follow lockout/tagout and entry-permit procedures on every job.
• Operate a fork truck.

Location: North Salt Lake, UT (on-site)

Job Type: Full-Time, hourly

Pay: $28.94-41.33/hour, depending on experience, skills, licenses, and certifications

Schedule: Day shift, 6:00 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday

About the Role

You’ll install, repair, and test the instrumented and electrical systems that keep our North Salt Lake plant running safely. The work is split between the plant floor and the maintenance shop.

A Note on the Work

This is hands‑on industrial electrical work. It is physical: regular lifting (some heavy), stair climbing, working in the heat, and handling tools, piping, and metal. The people who fit are technicians who like diagnosing real equipment and take safety procedures seriously.

Compensation & Benefits

• $28.94-41.33/hour by level: Technician II $28.94-32.15, Technician III $34.09-37.88, Technician IV $37.19-41.33
• Hiring bonus up to $1,200 (less taxes) after a successful 90-day probationary period
