Qualifications

• Read maps, drawings, and construction standards.
• Proficient in mobile inspection and GIS-based data systems.
• Able to perform physically demanding fieldwork in various terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual/structural inspections of poles, crossarms, insulators, transformers, and conductors on transmission and distribution circuits.
• Identify defects, clearance violations, deterioration, and non-conforming installations.
• Record condition data using inspection software and mobile data collection tools.
• Verify tagging, pole numbering, and asset location using GPS/GIS tools.
• Perform ground-based and UAS inspections per standards.
• Ensure compliance with GO 95/165, procedures, and client specs.
• Collaborate with managers, safety teams, and QA/QC on data quality.
• Participate in tailboards, safety briefings, and job hazard analyses.
• Comply with safety requirements including GO 165 for periodic inspections.
• Conduct JSA and report safety hazards and near-misses.
• Maintain PPE and climbing gear in good condition.
• Promote a safety-first mindset across activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
