Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) seeks an Electronics Technician for a direct-hire, on-site role in Brownsville, WI. The position supports a full build cycle from prototype to troubleshooting, collaborating with design engineers and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include precision soldering, board testing, BOM management, and documentation. Requires US work authorization and residence within commuting distance to Greater Milwaukee/NE WI corridor.

Qualifications

• Background as an electronics technician with precision PCB soldering and benchtop assembly.
• Ability to read multi-page electrical schematics, wire harness diagrams, and interconnect prints.
• Proven skill in isolating circuit performance errors or assembly defects with minimal oversight.
• US work authorization and daily commuting radius to Greater Milwaukee / NE WI area.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision soldering and micro-assembly of multi-layer PCBs and wire harnesses to IPC quality benchmarks.
• Trace and repair circuit faults using oscilloscopes, meters, and signal generators.
• Collaborate with design engineers during board layout reviews and prototype builds.
• Assist with BOM management, component sourcing, and spec tracking for active builds.
• Prepare drawings, schematic revisions, and assembly instructions.
• Support quality processes, inspection logs, and environmental testing per AS9100D.
• Travel up to 20 days per year for field validation and client installations.
