Job summary

DREISILKER ELECTRIC MOTORS INC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to assist in design, testing, troubleshooting and documentation of electrical systems. You will work with engineers, production, and field service teams to ensure safety, quality and performance.

Responsibilities include failure analysis of motors, testing with VFDs and servo drives, reading schematics, and preparing repair and diagnostic reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field required.
• 2+ years of hands-on electrical experience preferred.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in failure analysis of AC/DC motors, generators, servo motors, and rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot and test VFDs, servo drives, and motion control systems.
• Perform and document electrical testing including insulation resistance and surge tests.
• Support commissioning and functional testing of VFD-driven and servo-driven systems.
• Interpret motor nameplates, encoder data, winding diagrams, and schematics.
• Assist with parameter setup and basic configuration of VFDs and servo drives.
• Prepare technical repair and diagnostic reports and review OEM specs.
• Disassemble, inspect, reassemble and test run electric motors.
