Job summary

Dreisilker Electric Motors is looking for an Entry-Level Field Service Technician in Oak Brook, IL to learn the service, removal, installation, and maintenance of electric motors and related rotating equipment at customer facilities.

You will train with experienced technicians, gradually taking on more responsibilities as skills develop, with safety and quality as top priorities during hands-on work.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of field service experience preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and electrical systems.
• Willing to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced Field Service Technicians at customer locations.
• Assist with removal, installation, and setup of motors and rotating equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical inspections and equipment checks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other field-service equipment.
• Assist with rigging, lifting, and moving industrial equipment.
• Document equipment conditions and service findings accurately.
• Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
• Follow safety requirements and communicate professionally with customers.

Dreisilker Electric Motors is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Field Service Technician who is interested in building a career in the electric motor and industrial service industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and learning how industrial equipment operates. Previous electric motor experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical or electrical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to working safely.

You will work alongside experienced technicians while developing the skills needed to troubleshoot, maintain, remove, install, and service electric motors and related rotating equipment at customer facilities.

What You'll Do

As an Entry-Level Field Service Technician, you will receive hands-on training and gradually take on more responsibility as your knowledge and skills develop.

Responsibilities may include:

• Work alongside experienced Field Service Technicians at customer locations
• Assist with the removal, installation, and setup of motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
• Perform basic mechanical inspections and equipment checks
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other field-service equipment
• Assist with rigging, lifting, and moving industrial equipment
• Take measurements and document equipment conditions and service findings
• Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials
• Complete service documentation accurately and professionally
• Follow Dreisilker and customer safety requirements
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Participate in training and take on additional responsibilities as skills develop
