Responsibilities

• Performs skilled/semi-skilled electrical work on county buildings and equipment.
• Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs electrical systems; checks grounds and shorts.
• Reads blueprints and schematics to plan installations and repairs.
• Replaces wiring, outlets, switches, fuses, breakers, sensors as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance and updates wiring as required.
• Maintains tools and equipment; tracks supplies and materials.
• Ensures compliance with laws, codes, and safety regulations; coordinates with supervisors.
• Responds to work orders, estimates time/materials, plans activities to minimize downtime.
• Provides electrical training to coworkers and monitors work done by others.
