Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks an Engineer to provide technical engineering, design, economic and analytical support for long-range system plans and engineering requests. The role requires delivering technically sound analyses and leading others as needed, with potential for shift work.

You will apply engineering methods, supervise projects, interface with customers and management, and contribute to efficiency improvements. A PE license and nuclear PVNGS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• 5 years engineering-related experience.
• Engineering degree must be from an accredited College of Engineering Program.
• A relevant Masters degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Four-year Bachelor of Engineering Technology is not equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepares engineering plans, designs, analysis, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations, studies, technical reviews, investigations and verifications.
• Ensures engineering analyses, design, project control, schedules, and compliance with standards, codes and regulations.
• Interfaces with customers and departments to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
• Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers.
• May oversee small- to medium-scale projects from planning to coordination.
