Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks an experienced Systems Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to support development of complex military electronic systems. You will model, analyze, and integrate designs across cross‑functional teams to meet performance, safety, and interoperability objectives.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships.
• Use of Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML Models; DOORS requirement management tool preferred.
• Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction.
• An existing U.S. Security Clearance is desired. The ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering activities for complex electronic systems, from concept to deployment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
• Conduct system requirements analysis, definition, and allocation, translating customer needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design.
• Perform system level trade analysis of different design options including estimated development and operational costs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop system architectures and design solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Oversee system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with functional requirements and performance objectives.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address technical challenges and ensure system safety, security, and interoperability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to understand needs, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
