Job summary

Boeing is seeking a System Design Electrical Engineer on a contract basis through a Boeing-approved third party. The role focuses on developing maintenance equipment interfaces, hardware/software integration, and MBSE-driven system definitions for the CMCS program.

Work covers design, validation, and collaboration with vendors to ensure lifecycle readiness for test and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering or related field, 3+ years of avionics design experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 3+ years familiarity with electrical avionics system design including subsystems, interfaces, and lab testing.
• Experience with VPX/VME form factor.
• Experience with RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, MIL-STD-1553.
• Knowledge of cyber security principles or certifications (preferred).
• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.

Responsibilities

• Hardware/software integration support and system interface design.
• System schematic analysis and design; requirements analysis and development.
• System selloff/verification and test requirements development.
• Electrical wiring development for test articles and sub-assemblies.
• Lab or flight test instrumentation support and data acquisition.
• Collaborate with lab personnel and suppliers; ensure hardware/software integration across lifecycle.
• Utilize MBSE tools (DOORS, Cameo) for system definitions and trade studies.
