Job summary

Mindlance seeks a supervisor to oversee electrical installation activities in Florida. The role requires reading electrical drawings, understanding MV systems, crimping terminations and cable work, and extensive field experience with on-site contractor management.

Qualifications

  • Experience crimping terminations and cable work.
  • Strong inverter and cabling experience.
  • Prefer candidates with strong field experience and a background on job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation.
  • Work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.
  • Verify that drawings, submittals, and specifications are accurate.
  • Understand SCADA and fiber optics.
  • Coordinate with EPC, sub-contractors, and on-site teams.
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly on progress, quality, and safety.
  • Learn and use Unifier to record, name, and upload electrical installation QC photographs.
  • Facilitate RFI process with the EPC and site engineering.
  • Perform inspections of installed equipment for compliance with scope and specs.
  • Review project completion documentation.
  • Interface with safety, engineering, and quality control parties.
  • Help facilitate field commissioning and turnover.
  • Develop good relationships with EPC and others on site.
  • Ensure safety is the number one priority on all sites.

Elecritical Supervisors Role and Responsibilities.

  • To understand all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation.
  • To work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.
  • To verify that all drawings, submittals, and specifications are accurate.
  • Understanding of SCADA and fiber optics.
  • Understanding of electrical and fiber testing, IE, TTR, VLF, ODTR, Fall of Potential, VOC’s, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with the EPC, sub-contractors, NEER/FPL operations teams, and any others working on site.
  • Reports daily, weekly and monthly on progress, quality control and safety
  • Learning and using Unifier to record, name, and upload of electrical installation QC photographs
  • Facilitates the Request for Information(RFI) process with the EPC and site engineering.
  • Perform inspections of equipment being installed to verify it’s done correctly and per the scope of work and specifications.
  • Review project completion documentation.
  • Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering and quality control parties
  • Help facilitate field commissioning and turnover.
  • To create good relationships with the EPC and others on site.
  • To ensure that safety is the number one priority on all sites.
  • To understand and follow all company rules and policies.

Job Description / Ideal Background

  • Must be able to read electrical drawings
  • Strong understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) systems
  • Experience crimping terminations and cable work
  • Strong inverter and cabling experience
  • Prefer candidates with strong field experience and a background working on job sites

Preferred background:

  • Lineman Foreman Construction Superintendent
  • Master Electricians are also acceptable, even if they have not held a formal supervisory role.
    • However, they must understand that this role is primarily oversight and contractor management, not a hands-on electrical position.
  • Will be overseeing contractor builds
  • Role requires ~80% of time in the field
