JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Lead the company's safety culture, demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment, investigate safety incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
  • Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
  • Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small projects or parts of larger projects.
  • Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
  • Coordinate project site care, custody, and control.
  • Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
  • Participate in progress and project OAC meetings.
  • Create and adjust project schedules with the Project Manager.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs using management systems.
  • Communicate key project information to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation and logs.
  • Manage material and equipment needs.
  • Support procurement processes.
  • Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage timecard approval for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure quality compliance through specifications and QA/QC.
  • Support project closeouts and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Understand project pursuit processes.
  • Participate in project planning and staffing.
  • Manage project changes and negotiations.
  • Contribute to project reviews and meetings.
  • Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.
Additional Core Responsibilities

In addition, this position will:

  • Manage fairly complex projects from start to finish.
  • Handle management, scheduling, safety, and quality for their project or portion.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Participate in project pursuits and negotiations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Perform work accurately, completely, and timely.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Conduct effective presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • Knowledge of construction management fundamentals and project processes.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of construction experience.
  • 3+ years of field supervision experience.
  • Experience with Lean principles preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel and relocation may be required.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions possible.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
  • Physical activities include standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
