JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects across the country, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Lead all aspects of the company's safety culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment, investigating safety incidents, and retraining staff as needed.
  • Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
  • Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small or large projects.
  • Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
  • Coordinate project site care, custody, and control.
  • Lead meetings, including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
  • Participate in project progress and OAC meetings.
  • Create and manage project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Track and monitor project budget and costs using project management systems.
  • Communicate key project information to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, update drawings, logs, and inspection notebooks.
  • Approve and record unit costs, complete daily and tracking reports.
  • Evaluate progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Manage material and equipment needs.
  • Support procurement and approval processes.
  • Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for self-perform operations.
  • Manage timecard approval for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC, and outside resources.
  • Support project closeouts and coordinate activities with stakeholders.
  • Understand project pursuit processes and methodologies.
  • Participate in project pre-planning, staffing, and change management.
  • Negotiate project changes with owners and architects.
  • Contribute to project review meetings and buyout meetings.
  • Understand and apply contractual terms.
  • Identify and recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.
Additional Responsibilities - Superintendant 2
  • Manage complex stand-alone projects from start to finish.
  • Handle management, scheduling, safety, and quality for assigned projects or project segments.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Address problems proactively and recommend solutions.
  • Manage deliverables from internal resources.
  • Participate in project pursuits and negotiations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Perform work accurately, completely, and timely.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to conduct presentations and use MS Office proficiently.
  • Knowledge of construction management fundamentals, project processes, and trades.
  • Build relationships and collaborate internally and externally.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred).
Experience
  • 5+ years construction experience.
  • 3+ years field supervision experience.
  • Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May require travel or relocation.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
