Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of STO Building Group, seeks a hands‑on Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical field operations on complex commercial projects. You will manage electrical subcontractors and coordinate with other trades to meet design, budget, and schedule.

Reporting to the General Superintendent, you will drive daily activity, enforce safety, review drawings, and oversee installation, energization, testing, and turnover while interfacing with clients and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in electrical construction supervision; 8+ years preferred.
• Experience overseeing electrical subcontractors on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation, energization, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and codes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to motivate crews.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage electrical personnel and subcontractors.
• Lead and coordinate electrical field operations to meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Plan daily activities including manpower, materials, and trade sequencing.
• Interpret drawings and specs to guide installation methods and equipment.
• Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and controls teams.
• Oversee energization, testing, commissioning, and turnover of systems.
• Interface with clients, inspectors, utility providers, and trade partners.
• Enforce safety policies and electrical safety procedures.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Support project management with field documentation and RFIs.
