Job summary

Hood Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for its Beaumont, MS plywood facility. The role leads the electrical department, ensures safe, efficient operation, and guides preventative/predictive maintenance across the site.

You will oversee staff, diagnose equipment failures, and coordinate installations while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental rules. This is a greenfield site with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related electrical experience and 3+ years of management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and control logic.
• Knowledge of safety, health and environmental rules and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all employees and contractors and enforce safety policies.
• Supervise electricians and electrical department personnel.
• Schedule and assign tasks for preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Manage spares inventory and engage suppliers to optimize costs.
• Coordinate with other departments and regulatory agencies to meet goals.
• Design and install new electrical systems including PLCs and HMIs.
• Maintain electrical compliance documentation.
