Job summary

CMD Electric in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Superintendent to lead large-scale electrical design-build projects. You will oversee field operations, manage labor and materials, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a California Journeyman license, demonstrates leadership, and communicates effectively with owners, architects, and crews. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, maintain as-builts, and enforce CMD safety policies.

Qualifications

• California General Electrician Journeyman license required.
• Proven track record delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office; solid knowledge of building codes.
• Preferred OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for safety and environmental programs on site.
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment for projects.
• Manage field administration: timesheets, reports, purchases, and diaries.
• Organize and coordinate all subcontractor activities.
• Implement and monitor construction plans, scheduling, and logistics.
• Supervise 15+ electricians and develop field personnel.
• Perform field work as needed and use tools.
• Collaborate with prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, codes, and contract documents.
• Maintain productivity, safety, and quality control; establish goals.
