Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. seeks an Electrical Superintendent to manage day-to-day crew activities on electrical projects in Roanoke, VA. You will guide crews, align with budgets and schedules, and ensure quality and client satisfaction across each phase.

The role requires extensive foreman experience, strong planning and coordination abilities, and compliance with safety standards. Travel is typically not overnight; benefits include competitive coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience as a General Foreman with 4 years of completed electrical apprenticeship program.
• Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience
• Knowledge of man hour reports, job cost reports, workface planning and estimating
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to supervise large groups
• Reading and interpreting design drawings, design guides, specs, and contract documents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across disciplines
• Ability to read complex instructions and present information clearly
• Ability to plan ahead and set goals for the job
• OSHA 30 certification
• CPR certification
• Ability to multitask and follow written and oral instructions
• Adherence to company policies

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises field crew and subcontractors, determines construction method, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules hours.
• Coordinates work with crafts, departments, and contractors to meet drawings and schedule.
• Liaises with engineering, estimating, project team and planning to ensure compliance with specs and timelines.
• Maintains relationships with other departments to ensure materials, inspections, and support for schedules.
• Resolves construction problems and monitors safety program compliance.
• Oversees equipment setting capabilities and performs related duties as assigned.
• Travel typically not overnight; may involve site visits.
