Job summary

SST Direct in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for a direct hire role on major commercial and industrial projects. The position demands hands-on leadership, overseeing electrical crews and coordinating field activities to meet schedule and quality standards.

Candidates should have a Florida Journeyman license, strong industrial experience, and proven ability to lead 4–10 electricians, with expertise in medium voltage, switchgear, and power distribution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Strong commercial electrical background with industrial experience.
• Experience leading crews of 4–10 electricians.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead electrical crews of approximately 4–10 electricians.
• Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Perform hands-on electrical work and provide technical guidance to crew members.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial systems.
• Lead work involving medium voltage, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to codes and specs.
• Maintain OSHA and site safety requirements; coordinate with management.
