About Our Client
Our client is an employee-owned utility and civil infrastructure contractor that builds the underground systems behind critical commercial facilities, including data centers. Its core work covers underground electrical infrastructure such as duct banks, conduit systems, and electrical utility structures, delivered from excavation through backfill, with support from its own concrete division. The company serves commercial owners, general contractors, and electrical contractors, and works closely with utility providers and municipal authorities. It has a strong values-driven culture and an ESOP structure, so employees share directly in the value they help build.
Job Description
The Superintendent, Electrical leads field construction on underground electrical infrastructure projects, including duct banks and underground conduit systems. This person makes sure crews work safely, schedules stay on track, materials and equipment are on hand, and installed work meets project specifications and quality standards. The role pairs hands‑on field leadership with disciplined planning and coordination.
Day to day, the Superintendent runs the job site: reviewing plans with Foremen, overseeing excavation through backfill, verifying conduit placement and encasement, and coordinating inspections before concrete and backfill. They submit a three-week look‑ahead every Thursday, schedule equipment and materials ahead of need, and coordinate with the Concrete Division on duct bank pours. They report to the General Superintendent, work closely with the Project Manager on schedule and cost, lead Foremen and crews, and are the daily point of contact for General Contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and utility providers.
The ideal candidate is a field leader who knows underground electrical work inside and out, holds crews to a high bar on safety and quality, and stays organized and responsive under pressure.
