Job description

Electrical Superintendent Position Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the safe installation of electrical systems from power distribution, rough in, trim, finish work and final punch phases.
  2. Work consists of installing, altering, repairing electrical systems and equipment associated with large-scale commercial and/or multifamily electrical construction projects.
  3. Review project documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, instructional manuals, specifications, blueprints and schedule work activities and field installations according to the scope of work and project schedule.
  4. Layout project work and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available to meet the project construction schedule.
  5. Complete essential paperwork such as material requests, time sheets, safety and incident reports.
  6. Manage electrical materials, tools and equipment assigned to the job site.
  7. Have 5+ years of experience in running commercial electrical construction projects from the ground up until completion.
  8. Demonstrate a track record of completing multi million-dollar commercial electrical construction projects at or below budget within the established time frame, contract scope and specification.
  9. Establish recent work history as an Electrical Superintendent on large-scale commercial electrical construction projects.
  10. Possess in-depth knowledge of NEC, local building codes, industry standards and jobsite safety requirements.
  11. Be knowledgeable with the operation of tools and equipment on the job including but not limited to wire tugger, conduit benders, lifts, KO sets, backhoes, trenchers, mini-excavators and generators.
  12. Effectively interact and communicate professionally with management, support staff, field personnel, trade contractors, vendors, and clients.
  13. Have the flexibility to work hours required to maintain project schedule based on the scope of work which at times may include working long hours or weekends.
  14. Evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop and implement solutions.
  15. Be prepared to work with tools on an as-needed basis.
  16. Be able to bring projects in at or below labor budget.
  17. AHCA experience is a PLUS.
  18. Master Electrician License is required.
  19. 30 Hour OSHA Certification is required before running your own project.
  20. CPR/First Aid is preferred.
