Job summary

Gerelco Electrical Contractors is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for large commercial projects in Florida. The ideal candidate will lead field teams, drive project execution, and coordinate with the General Contractor to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires seven years of trade experience, OSHA 30 certification, a Journeyman’s Card, and a valid Florida driver's license. A comprehensive benefits package is provided, including health, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete projects per blueprints, diagrams, and instructions, meeting quality standards and legal requirements.
• Manage materials, tools, and equipment to prevent loss or misplacement on site.
• Coordinate with other trades and the General Contractor for seamless site operations.
• Ensure neat, orderly storage of materials and daily site cleanliness before departure.
• Provide instruction and guidance to reporting employees to work safely and efficiently.
• Participate in hiring, termination, training, counseling, and coaching of staff reporting to you.

Job description

Gerelco is searching for an Electrical Superintendent that has experience with large commercial jobs.

Essential Functions

• Leads and completes the project in accordance with supplied blueprints, diagrams and/or instructions provided and to quality standards in accordance to applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Responsible to ensure that all materials, supplies, tools and equipment are safeguarded in a manner that prevents their unauthorized use or removal from the project site.

• Ensures team cooperation with other trades and or the General Contractor on the site.
• Ensures that materials and supplies on the project are stored in a neat and orderly fashion and that the job site is picked up before leaving each day.
• Provides instruction and guidance to reporting employees that enables them to work safely and efficiently.
• Participates in the hiring, termination, training, counseling, and coaching of all employees reporting to him/her.

Required Education and Experience

• Requires a minimum of 7 years trade experience.
• Employee must have and maintain an OSHA 30 certification.

• Employee should have and maintain a Journeyman’s Card
• Employee must have and maintain a clean, valid Florida Driver’s license.
• Must have experience and be able to perform all of the duties required of the positions under them.
