JOB SUMMARY:The Superintendent oversees and manages utility construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role coordinates teams, manages resources, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters strong relationships with crews, subcontractors, and customers to create a positive operational experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Lead and manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets are met.
• Enforce all safety protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.
• Supervise and coordinate crews and subcontractors, providing hands-on guidance, support, and training.
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials for maximum project efficiency.
• Read and interpret project plans; provide high-level estimates as needed.
• Monitor project work to maintain company and industry quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and issues; report regularly to senior management.
• Identify potential project challenges and implement timely solutions.
• Conduct weekly site visits to each yard and crew location.
• Support the growth and development of General Foremen (GF) and Foremen.
REQUIREMENTS:• Minimum 10 years of experience in distribution/transmission or a related utility field.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of line construction, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as required.
