Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. seeks a full-time Licensed Electrical Superintendent to lead projects from award to completion. You will supervise crews, uphold safety, quality, and schedule goals, and apply NEC codes on Colorado construction sites.

Candidates must have a Colorado Journeyman license, 7+ years in electrical installation, strong communication, and proficiency with Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel. Benefits include medical, dental, life, disability, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

  • Colorado Journeyman license required.
  • 7+ years installation experience with latest electrical code, means, and methods.
  • Apply the latest techniques to maximize safety, quality and production.
  • Strong computer skills: Outlook, Bluebeam, Word and Excel.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects from award to completion ensuring safety, quality and production goals.
  • Supervise crews, provide training, and give constructive feedback.
  • Plan and layout projects including material take-offs and tool needs.
  • Establish safety plans and manage project risks to personnel and equipment.
  • Review contract drawings and specifications for installation compliance.
  • Coordinate with PM on change requests and schedule impacts.
  • Prepare material, equipment, and labor plans for timely site arrival and departure.
  • Monitor daily progress and provide written updates on activities and obstacles.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate trades as needed.
  • Communicate with PM and purchasing to manage material requisitions and delivery schedules.

Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is searching for afull-time Licensed Electrical Superintendentto join our team.

Our Electrical Superintendent may oversee the projects from the award of the project to the final construction. The position requires a high level of customer service to build and maintain relationships. Experience with electrical construction background is required.

MAJOR DUTIES
  • Have previous successfully supervised projects with crews ranging from 20+ personnel, meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback.
  • Plan and layout the project including planned installation materialtake-offquantities and toolneeds basedon the project schedule.
  • Establish a site-specific safety plan, evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them.
  • Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and schedule effect.
  • Plan the project’s material, equipment, and labor needs fortimelyarrival to and from the site.
  • Monitor daily progresstotheshort termand long-term schedules to meet commitments. Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles.
  • Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions, and delivery schedules.
  • Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) with the ability to be a leader by acknowledging contributions by others.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliancetoscheduled work hours.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Be a self-starterand bedependable.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Colorado Journeyman license.
  • Seven plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
  • Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
  • Have moderate to high-level computer skills including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift 100lbs.
  • Have safety training related to electrical and general construction such as OSHA 30 hour, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, scissor lift, forklift, Lock Out/Tag Out, and trade-specific.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
