Requires a Colorado Journeyman license and a strong electrical construction background. Responsibilities include supervising crews of 20+ personnel, planning installations, coordinating with PM and purchasing, and ensuring compliance with NEC and contract drawings.

Qualifications

• Colorado Journeyman license.
• 7+ years of installation experience with the latest electrical code.
• Proficient with NEC and construction safety practices.
• Computer skills including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Diplomatically manage crews and provide training and feedback.
• Plan and layout projects, including material take-offs and tool needs.
• Establish and implement site safety plans and mitigate risks.
• Review and implement installation per contract drawings and specs.
• Coordinate change requests and schedule implications with PM.
• Lead meetings and coordinate trades as needed.

Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is searching for a full-time Licensed Electrical Superintendent to join our team.

Our Electrical Superintendent may oversee the projects from the award of the project to the final construction. The position requires a high level of customer service to build and maintain relationships. Experience with electrical construction background is required.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Have previous successfully supervised projects with crews ranging from 20+ personnel, meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
• Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback.
• Plan and layout the project including planned installation material take-off quantities and tool needs based on the project schedule.
• Establish a site-specific safety plan, evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them.
• Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and schedule effect.
• Plan the project’s material, equipment, and labor needs for timely arrival to and from the site.
• Monitor daily progress to the short term and long-term schedules to meet commitments. Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles.
• Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination.
• Coordinate and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions, and delivery schedules.
• Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) with the ability to be a leader by acknowledging contributions by others.
• Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Be a self-starter and be dependable.
• Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Colorado Journeyman license.
• Seven plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
• Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
• Have moderate to high-level computer skills including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift 100lbs.
• Have safety training related to electrical and general construction such as OSHA 30 hour, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, scissor lift, forklift, Lock Out/Tag Out, and trade-specific.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
