Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time Licensed Electrical Superintendent I to join our team. The role oversees projects from award to final construction, requiring a strong customer-service mindset and deep electrical construction experience.

You will lead crews, plan installations, ensure safety programs, and coordinate with project management. The position emphasizes hands-on supervision, effective communication, and adherence to the National Electric Code while maintaining project

  • Ability to apply modern techniques to safety, quality, and production.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise projects with crews of 20+ personnel, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Plan layouts, material take-off quantities, and tool needs per schedule.
  • Establish site safety plan and evaluate risks to personnel and equipment.
  • Review contract drawings and specifications to implement installations.
  • Coordinate with PM and purchasing manager on material requisitions and delivery schedules.
  • Meetings and trade coordination; maintain daily written progress.

Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is searching for a full-time Licensed Electrical Superintendent I to join our team.

Our Electrical Superintendent I may oversee projects from award to final construction. The position requires a high level of customer service to build and maintain relationships and experience with electrical construction background is required.

Major Duties
  • Have previously supervised projects with crews ranging from 20+ personnel, meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback.
  • Plan and layout the project including planned installation material take‑off quantities and tool needs based on the project schedule.
  • Establish a site‑specific safety plan, evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them.
  • Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and schedule effect.
  • Plan the project’s material, equipment, and labor needs for timely arrival to and from the site.
  • Monitor daily progress to the short‑term and long‑term schedules to meet commitments. Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles.
  • Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions and delivery schedules.
  • Establish and implement prefab project‑specific tasks.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) with the ability to be a leader by acknowledging contributions by others.
  • Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Be a self‑starter and be dependable.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Utah Journeyman license.
  • Seven plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
  • Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
  • Have moderate to high‑level computer skills including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs.
  • Have safety training related to electrical and general construction such as OSHA 30 hour, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, scissor lift, forklift, Lock Out/Tag Out, and trade‑specific.

Work Schedule

This is a full‑time position with a typical working schedule of Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
