Job summary

Fountain Services, LLC is seeking an Electrical Superintendent in the Greenville/Upstate SC area with a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical work. The role emphasizes leadership, project coordination, and hands-on oversight of multiple crews.

A minimum of 10 years in electrical construction and 4 years in a supervisory capacity is required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, paid vacation/holidays after 90 days, and a competitive hourly pay range of $35–$45.

Qualifications

10+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
At least 4 years of experience as a foreman or superintendent or similar supervisory role overseeing multiple crews.
Leadership/supervisory experience on projects over $1 million preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee on-site installation of electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
Coordinate with project managers and foremen to ensure successful project completion.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Plan with project managers and engineers to layout work.
Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
Direct, train, and mentor foremen and junior leaders.
Ensure effective use of the company leader-board and daily reporting.
Coordinate liaison between project manager and on-site leadership.
Lead multiple 6–10 person crews and manage several projects.

Pay for this position is $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. After a 90-day introductory period, employees receive paid vacation and paid holidays, and are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401k with employer match. This position also includes the use of a company vehicle with fuel card.

Minimum Experience Requirements

Qualified candidates should have 10+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, including at least 4 years of experience as a foreman or superintendent, or in a similar supervisory capacity, overseeing and managing multiple foremen/crews on large construction jobs, or on multiple smaller concurrent jobs. Leadership/supervisory experience on projects in excess of $1 million is preferred.

Physical Requirements

A superintendent may from time to time be asked to spend time working on their tools with their crews, in addition to their administrative and leadership functions. Accordingly, candidates must meet the same physical requirements as other field personnel. Employees must be able to lift 50+ pounds, work from a ladder or scaffold, work overhead, and perform without hindrance activities and tasks that involve repetitive reaching, stretching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and/or bending. They must also be able to work in varied climate conditions, and should possess good balance, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and the stamina to perform physically demanding construction work. Above all, a candidate must be able to safely perform the duties and responsibilities normally and reasonably expected of a tradesperson in their position.

Additional Requirements And/or Expectations

Applicants must possess a High School diploma or GED.

Applicants must pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.

Training in an apprenticeship or similar program, or in a trade or technical school is preferred.

Relevant licenses and/or certifications are preferred.

Applicants should have excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Applicants must be able to multi-task and work well under time constraints.

Oversee, coordinate, lay out, and manage the on-site installation of electrical wiring, systems, controls, equipment, and fixtures

Work in conjunction with project managers and foremen to ensure successful and profitable completion of a project

Read, understand, and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and other contract documents

Work with project managers and project engineers in planning and laying out work

Communicate and interface with customers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and other trades

Direct, train, and mentor foremen and other junior leaders

Ensure that foremen are effectively implementing and utilizing the company “leader-board” system, and otherwise meeting daily job reporting requirements
