Job summary

Canyon State Electric in Arizona seeks a full-time Electrical Superintendent to lead field teams on major projects, driving safety, quality, schedule, and workforce performance from preconstruction through close-out.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical construction, experience managing large crews, and strong budgeting and planning skills. You will coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to deliver on-time, within-budget results.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
  • 3+ years in a Superintendent or senior leadership role.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects ($5M+) or multiple sites.
  • Experience in data centers, healthcare, and industrial work.
  • Led large teams (50+ field personnel across multiple crews/projects).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, and data systems.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC), construction practices, and industry standards.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting plans, specs, and submittals.
  • Strong budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting skills.
  • Experience with construction management software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee field operations across large-scale projects ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop General Foremen, Foremen, and field crews for high performance.
  • Coordinate manpower planning, labor projections, and resource allocation across projects.
  • Partner with Project Managers to align budgets, schedules, and goals.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 and company standards.
  • Drive scheduling with look-ahead planning (3–6 weeks) and milestones.
  • Monitor and manage job costs, productivity, and financial performance in the field.
  • Oversee material procurement strategy, tracking, and logistics with field leadership and PMs.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, general contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support and review RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure timely reporting, including daily and incident reports and progress updates.
  • Oversee close-out processes including punch lists, as-builts, and final inspections.
  • Enforce safety policies and lead safety initiatives on-site.
  • Approve timecards and ensure proper workforce management across projects.

Position:

We're looking for a full-time Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee multiple electrical construction projects and field teams. This role serves as the senior field leader responsible for driving project execution, safety, quality, schedule adherence, and workforce performance.

As the primary liaison between field operations, project management, and clients, the Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring successful project delivery from preconstruction through close-out. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in electrical construction, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a safety-first approach.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage field operations across one or more large-scale projects, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop General Foremen, Foremen, and field crews to promote high performance, accountability, and career growth.
  • Coordinate manpower planning, labor projections, and resource allocation across projects.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment on budgets, schedules, and project goals.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes (NFPA 70).
  • Drive project scheduling, including look-ahead planning (3–6 weeks) and milestone tracking.
  • Monitor and manage job costs, productivity, and financial performance in the field.
  • Oversee material procurement strategy, tracking, and logistics in collaboration with field leadership and PM teams.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, general contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support and review RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including daily reports, incident reports, and progress updates.
  • Oversee project close-out processes including punch lists, as-builts, and final inspections.
  • Enforce all safety policies, HR policies, and company procedures; lead safety initiatives on-site.
  • Approve timecards and ensure proper workforce management across projects.
Qualifications:
