This is a senior field leadership position responsible for coordinating manpower, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, quality, and day-to-day project execution from initial mobilization through final turnover.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader with experience managing complex commercial, industrial, data center, healthcare, or other mission-critical projects. Strong knowledge of electrical construction, field coordination, commissioning, and the integration of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) is highly valued. This position requires someone who can take ownership in the field, anticipate challenges, keep multiple trades aligned, and consistently drive projects toward safe, efficient, and successful completion.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily field operations, establishing clear priorities and expectations for project teams.
  • Lead and coordinate Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and other trade partners.
  • Develop manpower strategies and coordinate labor resources to support project milestones.
  • Assist with project planning, construction sequencing, site logistics, and short- and long-range scheduling.

  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule risks, manpower shortages, material constraints, and field conflicts.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, engineers, owners, commissioning teams, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct and participate in daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, planning sessions, and project progress reviews.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and other project documents for field impacts and constructability concerns.
  • Verify installations meet approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for workmanship, productivity, and quality control.
  • Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure field activities comply with project and OSHA requirements.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, tools, manpower, inspections, and other resources necessary to maintain production.
  • Support inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list activities, and final project turnover.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including manpower reports, progress updates, inspections, issues, and project milestones.
BMS / EPMS & Mission-Critical Systems

This role will have significant involvement with projects where electrical systems and building controls must operate as an integrated system. Responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinate installation and integration activities involving BMS, EPMS, electrical distribution, controls, instrumentation, mechanical systems, and communications networks.
  • Work with controls contractors, electrical contractors, commissioning agents, vendors, and owner representatives to resolve integration and installation issues.
  • Review BMS and EPMS points lists, sequences of operation, system interfaces, and testing requirements from a field-execution perspective.
  • Ensure meters, sensors, controls, panels, communication infrastructure, and related equipment are properly installed and coordinated.
  • Assist commissioning teams with functional testing and integrated systems testing.
  • Help troubleshoot field issues involving system interfaces and coordinate solutions between trades and vendors.
  • Understand how BMS and EPMS systems support monitoring, control, alarm management, and operational visibility within critical facilities.
  • Coordinate testing and turnover activities to ensure systems are ready for commissioning and owner acceptance.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of progressive construction experience, with substantial field supervision responsibility.
  • Previous experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing large commercial, industrial, data center, healthcare, semiconductor, or other mission-critical construction projects.

  • Experience working with BMS, EPMS, building controls, electrical monitoring systems, or other mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Understanding of commissioning, functional testing, and integrated systems testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, construction documents, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of constructability and the ability to identify potential field conflicts before they impact the schedule.
  • Familiarity with construction management, scheduling, and project documentation software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, productivity, and schedule.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
