Job summary

BachnerElectroUSA is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our growing team and provide field leadership for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

As Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, maintain schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure work meets drawings, specs, NEC, and local codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience with prior field leadership.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field leadership and supervision for electrical projects from mobilization to completion.
• Plan and coordinate electrical crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to meet schedules.
• Read and enforce drawings, schematics, and installation requirements; ensure NEC compliance.

AsanElectricalSuperintendent,youwillberesponsibleforoverseeingday-to-dayfieldoperations,coordinatingelectricalcrewsandsubcontractors,maintainingprojectschedules,enforcingsafetyandqualitystandards,andensuringworkiscompletedinaccordancewithprojectdrawings,specifications,theNEC,andapplicablecodes.Thispositionservesasakeylinkbetweenfieldpersonnel,ProjectManagement,clients,andothertrades.

KeyResponsibilities

• • Providedailyfieldleadershipandsupervisionforelectricalconstructionprojectsfrommobilizationthroughprojectcompletion.

  • Assignworktofieldpersonnelandmonitorproductivity,workmanship,andprogress.
  • CoordinatedailyandweeklyworkactivitieswithProjectManagersandotherprojectleadership.
  • Read,interpret,andenforceprojectdrawings,electricalschematics,specifications,shopdrawings,wiringdiagrams,andinstallationrequirements.
  • EnsureelectricalinstallationscomplywiththeNationalElectricalCode(NEC),projectspecifications,applicablelocalcodes,andcompanystandards.
  • Coordinateelectricalactivitieswithgeneralcontractors,owners,inspectors,vendors,subcontractors,andothertrades.
  • Identifypotentialscheduleconflicts,materialshortages,designissues,andfieldconditionsandcommunicatethempromptlytoProjectManagement.
  • Assistwithshort-termscheduling,manpowerplanning,materialplanning,andprojectlook-aheadschedules.
  • Monitorprojectprogressandhelpensureestablishedmilestonesandcompletiondatesareachieved.
  • Maintainaccuratefielddocumentation,includingdailyreports,manpowerinformation,progressupdates,materialneeds,andprojectissues.
  • Reviewdrawingsandfieldconditionstoidentifypotentialchangesinscopeandcommunicatepotentialchange-orderworktotheProjectManagerbeforeproceedingwhenrequired.
  • Participateinprojectmeetings,coordinationmeetings,inspections,andjobsitewalkthroughs.
  • Overseeinstallation,testing,troubleshooting,andcompletionofelectricalsystems.
  • Coordinateinspectionsandassistwithpunch-listcompletion,commissioning,andprojectcloseout.
  • Maintainanorganized,professional,andproductivejobsite.
  • EnforceBachnerElectroUSAsafetypoliciesandapplicableOSHArequirements.
  • Conductorparticipateintoolboxtalks,pre-taskplanning,safetymeetings,andjobhazardassessments.
  • EnsureemployeesandsubcontractorsutilizerequiredPPEandfollowsafeworkpractices.
  • Leadbyexampleandpromoteacultureofsafety,accountability,quality,andteamwork.
  • MentorForemen,Journeymen,Apprentices,andotherfieldpersonnelandassistwithemployeedevelopment.
  • Performadditionaldutiesasrequiredtosupportsuccessfulprojectexecution.

Qualifications

• • Minimum5yearsofelectricalconstructionexperience,withpreviousexperienceinaForeman,GeneralForeman,Superintendent,orsimilarfieldleadershippositionstronglypreferred.
  • Industrialand/orlargecommercialelectricalconstructionexperiencepreferred.
  • StrongknowledgeoftheNationalElectricalCode(NEC)andelectricalconstructionmethods.
  • JourneymanorMasterElectricianlicensepreferredbutnotrequired,dependingonprojectandjurisdiction.
  • Demonstratedexperiencesupervisingelectricalcrewsandcoordinatingmultipleworkactivities.
  • Abilitytoreadandinterpretelectricaldrawings,specifications,one-linediagrams,schematics,andconstructiondocuments.
  • Strongunderstandingofconduitsystems,feeders,branchcircuits,electricaldistribution,equipmentinstallation,grounding,andrelatedelectricalsystems.
  • Experiencewithmanpowerplanning,scheduling,materialcoordination,andproductivitymanagement.
  • Strongleadership,communication,organization,andproblem-solvingskills.
